Cesc Fabregas finally speaks on Barcelona Transfer Saga

I almost couldn’t believe it when i saw this on Skyports.com but Cesc Fabregas, he of few words, has finally spoken out on the speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona this summer.

For months now Barcelona have been stating their desire to bring Fabregas back to the club he left as a 16 year old teenager. Every Barcelona player and their cat has already stated how much they would love it if the Arsenal captain were to ditch the Gunners for the La Liga Champions, but up until now Fabregas has not said anything regarding the speculation.

He has however now broken his silence on the matter in an interview with Magazine DIR Emotions. Here’s what he had to say:

“I’m a Barca fan, I’m a socio, as is my grandfather, my uncle, my cousin… I have felt the colours from a young age, I’m Catalan,”
“However, I’m the captain of Arsenal, I’m a ‘Gunner’, and I have become a player there and matured as a person.”

It definitely sounds as if Fabregas is torn between the club he loves, and the club that made him the World Class footballer that he is today. He also went on to add that he has a very close bond with Arsenal boss Wenger, and that their last conversation regarding the transfer didn’t go well.

“He is a second father for me, the most important person in my life after my father. He has behaved really well with me and taken me in like a son. I am part of his family,” he said.
“He doesn’t want me to leave. And in my last conversation with him in London, it was one of the most difficult moments I have experienced. I ended up very upset.”

He may be staying with Arsenal but it appears that his heart is already at the Nou Camp….

Won’t be more than a season, pretty sure this is his last season at Arsenal.
